And so, it began.
Iâd fallen for Marcâprobably as far back as our night at the riverâand, as much as I loved spending time with him, our time together was a heavy reminder of what Iâd never have.
Marc was everything Iâd ever wanted in a partner. He was drop-dead gorgeous, caring, fun to be around, and amazing in bed. But, more than that, he was intelligent, savvy, and a hard worker. He learned quickly, accepted challenges, and helped wherever asked. Yes, he often did all of those things with a sarcastic comment or a citified complaint nestled in, but it didnât make me love him any less.
Love.
Yeah, there was no denying it. I loved Marc Kingsley.
I loved my best friendâs grandson.
I loved a person who was my exact opposite in so many ways.
I loved a man ten years my junior.
My heart pinched.
I loved a man who wanted nothing more than a three-month fling; a man who would high-tail it out of my country life at the end of his sentence and never look back.
And, just as Iâd predicted, my heart was already breaking.
But, as Marc straddled my hips in the bed of my truck and stripped his t-shirt over his head, I forced myself to push aside the melancholy and enjoy the time we had left.
âWant you,â he murmured against my lips as he leaned in for a soul-searing kiss.
âYouâve got me,â I whispered and never before had words been so true.
In a flurry of arms and legs, lips and tongues, clothes and skin, we kissed and touched and undressed.
I yanked a long pillow from the pile and put it on the toolbox. âKneel on there, lean on the cab,â I ordered as I tossed a blanket to the roof of the truck for Marc to rest his elbows and chest.
âBeen thinking about something,â Marc began.
I cocked a brow and stroked myself slowly as I admired his gorgeous body. âAs long as we were both tested and are monogamous for my time here, what do you say we skip the condoms?â He knelt before me and swallowed my cock as his eyes sparkled up at me in the moonlight.
I groaned. âIâm good with it; I trust you. No one else but you.â In all honesty, I didnât see myself looking for hookups after Marcâat least not for a very long timeâand Iâd definitely get tested again if I ever found myself wanting that.
I ran my hand through his hair and fought the urge to fist his light brown locks and fuck hard and fast into his mouth. âGet on the toolbox and spread your legs.â
Marc shivered as he climbed onto the toolbox and spread his legs wide as he leaned onto the cab of the truck. âFuck, itâs cold out here. Warm me up.â He wiggled his perfect ass.
I knelt behind him and tongued his hole, loving the way he squirmed and whimpered as his muscle relaxed and opened for me. After Iâd worked my finger and plenty of spit into him, I rustled in my jeans for a tiny packet of lube and smeared his entrance and my cock.
